Parcham, which in Urdu, roughly translates into Flag or a Banner, is an online forum, meditating on literature, poetry, art, culture and politics. It stands for the spirit of resistance, against forces that are out to stifle and throttle voices around us.
Parcham will seek to publish poetry, short stories, interviews and book reviews, articles on films and popular culture and editorials that stimulate and makes us sit up and take notice. We are a small team and so for the time being, we hope to publish every two months. This is a non-profit venture and we don’t charge the contributors any reading fee. We are just happy that you have trusted us with your work. And although, we are not in a position to pay any of the authors for their accepted pieces, we hope that sometime in the future we would be able to address the situation. Any queries regarding submissions or anything related to the magazine should be addressed to firstname.lastname@example.org.
We are taking baby steps on Social Media and for now you can follow us on Facebook here and on Instagram here.
